I'm fairly new to Revit and have just started experimenting with interior lighting for a model.
Can you do the following, and how best is it done:
i) Create a ceiling coffer with recessed lighting around the perimeter.
I've made a "loop light" using a ceiling based rfa, but when rendered the result is incorrect. Light appears to be coming from the centre of the coffer rather than the edges where the light is meant to be. Do I have to make a small linear light representing a fluorescent tube and array it 60 times around the coffer? Is there a better simpler way?
Which leads to more basic questions: how does Revit represent a light souce in the family editor, and can I change it? What I'm getting at, is can I specify a point source versus a luminous panel of dimensions I choose, representing an illuminated sign, for instance? What about a light casting more light upwards than downwards?
Also, in the family editor how can I move the light shape I 've drawn relative to the light source reference plane? They are locked together at the moment in my rfa
Lastly, after I've placed my light in a model and it's attached to one ceiling how can I move it to another ceiling at a different level / location?
