Following a tutorial recently I was trying to utilize the “ray-trace” capability under the rendering design tab menu as shown in the tutorial to follow.

I notice that the 2009 version I have does not show such of list under “rendering design tab”

Since I’m very-very new to Revit would some one out there be kind and tell me if there is a way I can get the rendering menu to look like the one attached?

BTW: The red rectangle is shown the list of items that I'm missing.

  I will appreciate everybody’s help

Thanks

The ray trace feature and the others you are missing are from the '08 release of Revit from the Accurender engine it utilized.

The '09 version uses Mental Ray, more like 3ds Max.

Time for updated tutorials I think Smile

Brett,

Thank you so much for replying. I thought I was missing something.

Again, I'm kind of new in Revit and never worked with 2008 version...

I apreciate it

Cheers!

BTW,

Would you know how to create a walkthrough? Or where can I get a good tutorial “2009” tutorial J

I tried to do it myself but the results were nothing close to good. It renders all the frames and once I export the file to Windows Media Player and hit play, the animation looks very fuzzy… Not good.

  It is very sad.

Thank you for your time.

Cheers!
