I'm completely noob to creating families. In fact, I'm reading the Revit's user guides and trying to do the tutorials witht he trianing files. As I could create a normal baluster and used it in a project, I thought it would be difficult a panel.

I used the file Metric Baluster Panel.rfa to create what I did. I guess that one is the correct.

So I started sketching the model (panels) and then I imported the family and used it. But you can see what happened (problem).

Then I thought It would be fixed If I rotated the model (panels 2). But no!

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

 Thanks a lot!

What you create in "Alzado - Front" it's what you must create in "Alzado - Left", that's the right view...

thank you, Typhoon

Now the panel are in the right position. But then I had another problem, as you can see in the first image.

But then at the end I realized that making a raling is just like creating a wall and taking it into account, I could eventually create what I (mor eor less) wanted.

Don't create those Top and Bottom "Brown Elements" in the Family of Baluster, because you can create that like a "Rail", create a "Metric Profile Family" with that shape you want and apply in the rails that profile...
