hi,

I want to see my beams on the upper floor.  i am trying to use view range top clip plane and keepin the offset at a desired level, but nothign happens...

I am also trying to do the following with top clip plane in the view range but i fails to do....

I have a complex structure of 3 floors. i am on a ground floor currently and i want to see the full shadows of the building.

i tried the top clip plane unlimited as well as giving it the desired offset. but nothing happens...

the top clip plane is not working for me... any idea how is it used??

Hi, you are in the GROUND LEVEL so the Top and Cut Plane it's from the Level you are, what you can do if you really want to see the beams of the Level 1 (or 2) is in the View Range, put the Top in the Level you want at the height of the beams then put the cut plane height at the same of the Top, what's happen is you loose the Cut plane of the level 0 but use the "Linework" tool to create "hidden lines" of the beams then in the View Range of Level 0 put again the right values from Top and Cut plane....

hey, thanks...

i tried it but after the linework, when i reset the view range settings.. the lines also disappears...

is it because they were created on a different cut plane??

if we need to change the cut plane to see the above objects, then what is the use of top clip plane... any idea?
