I usually have to make projects in mountainous areas. Which is the best way to draw asfalt road with side walks with 15% slope or sometimes more?. I tried drawing in Autocad and importing the file to Revit, but the results aren't very good. I tried making a region, but I can't figure out the straight lines that a road has. I need to draw too concrete ramps for driveways but in the Site commands I haven't seen any options that I can use. I appreciate any suggestion Luis

I suggest doing the ramp normally and to adjust your site to suite, it is a bit of a pain working with toposurface Smile so once you have the ramp in place play with split surface. m2c

The correct tool to use really depends on the complexity of the slope. If its only sloping in one direction use a floor with a slope. If multiple directions use a topo. If you already have the topo modelled in autocad it can be easily imported into revit. Use the split surface tool to draw a boundary for the site to basically cut off any unwanted jagged edges to the topo. Depending on whether you want to show differing heights between your asphault and side walks would depend on whether you utilise site regions or you split the surface. Site regions are merely a way of applying different materials to various areas of a site whilst still keeping it one element. HTH.
