could someone please explain something to me about curtain walls?.. when is it a window and not a curtain wall? suppose you have a big opening in a wall where you want the curtain wall to go inside that opening? i can't put a curtain wall in a wall opening in elevation view.. am i supposed to blindly put the curtain wall in the wall opening from plan view?

HEH This is quite helpful dude! I didn't know it too! But i tried to draw polygonal wall opening, but it makes curtain wall only aligned to two lines and it didn't work. Is there any solution for irregular openings? What about curtain wall by face?

You always have the option in "Elevation View" to pick in the curtain wall and "EDIT" then draw the shape you want.... see the video: http://screencast.com/t/ncFDYmfJjc
