I'm trying to create a domed roof, think Pantheon type, but unable to pick the mass to add the roof as instructed in previous forum posts.  I started by creating an in place family and used a solid revolve to accomplish the dome.  However, in previous posts in was stated that you should then add a roof by face to the mass.  I would like to do this as this will add some thickness to the dome.  Any help would be appreciated.

 Try to follow "Creating the dome roof in place family" from the tutorials. If you write "dome" in the search button, it will show how to make a dome. The simple way is to create a mass and use the "solid revolve" tool. Sketch the profile around the axis and finish sketch.
