Did you ever find a way to acheive this? We are able to tag objects within the group (doors/ windows), but it could be useful to tag and schedule whole groups... I am not sure how it could be done though, since objects of most any category could be placed within a given group. Anyone else have ideas? Thanks!

You could place a special family with an invisible line in the group and assign a shared parameter to that family.
