Hi,

Im currently workign on a project where i need to produce detail 1:20 sections around the perimeter of a building. The building is easy enough. its a rectangular shape, so the east and west sections are the same and similarly with the north and south. When i generate sections along the north face can i copy the section reference to the southern face as the sections would be identical only for grid references?

Can this be done or does revit only give you a section of an exact position and can the tag be copied as a reference?

 Sean

You will need to use the "Reference other View" feature. Start by making the actual sections on one wall. For the sections on the other wall you will go into the section tool and before you pick a location you will select "Reference other view" at the top of the screen. This will allow you to select a section view to reference to. It will also show the same number in the symbols. Do this for all the sections you want to "duplicate"
