Revit Architecture 2009

I am started an addendum and cannot figure out how to solve this issue.  I want to take a linked autocad detail view which is linked to the sheet, cloud it in the detail view to show up in the parent sheet then take that detail place on a new titleblock (8.5x11) with the addenum information.  Basically, want to reisue the detail and not the entire sheet.  How can this be done?

There was a discussion on AUGI last year that had a sketch titleblock family that you could overlay over your sheet .... it hides everything except a window.   I'll look for the link

here is the link  http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=53492

We now use this system

How do I create the sketch overlay for the titleblock and a Revision View?

Read the posts in the link I gave and look at the family that was posted there.

I'm confused about Kingham's suggestion with the masked titleblock.  Basically about how he keeps track of the various sketches.  We number our sketches where I work and I don't see how you can really do that with this method.  Also, it doesn't seem like a super neat way to print - like how do you ensure all the changes have been published in the addendum.  Just seems crazy all over the place, but then so does duplicating views.

This really works.  We have our sketches numbered by sheet and by revision issue.   In other words Revision 1 incfludes....Sheet number-Sketch number etc.  We make a pdf then delete the overlay.  The PDF is your record and no need to keep anything else.  No need to keep track of sketch numbers because the numbers re-start at each revision.

I think our process might be more complicated than necessary.  We actually continue the numbering across revisions so the addendum number is sort of irrelevant.  ASK-14 could be in addendum 2 or 3 or 4 - either way, it is still ASK-14, and there is only 1

then there is an item # in the body of the addendum - for instance, item #A-7 might be REVISE - sheet G000 with attached sketch ASK-14

then, we draw the revision cloud around the change and type in the item number under the triangle.  that way, the body of the addendum legally states the change, and revision cloud references back to the addendum item #.

We have not figured out the revision list yet - so you use a separate schedule that lists the sheet revised and the sketch number?  and then just place that on the title sheet next to the sheet index?
