We have a project that requires us to place equipment tags at each piece of equipment on a floor plan. How do I create a custom tag for this which will contain whatever info I need in it? In addition, how do I go about making a schedule for these tags? I researched creating schedules but there is no ‘Category’ for what I need? Post edited on 2005-05-26 18:23:14

You'll need to choose an appropriate category for your equipment and all these families will need to be of this category. You can then create a generic tag and change its category (settings/family category and parameters) to the appropriate category tag. Then its just a matter of adding the labels for the information you wish to show in the tags. You cannot create new categories so you'll have to make a decision on what category you want to use. Note: Generic models can't be scheduled. Remember you can easily change the category of any family without recreating it by opening the family going to setting-Family Category and parameters and changing to the appropriate category. HTH.
