I'm having an issue when creating a new level below the current "bottom" level. I need to create a level for an elevator pit which is below the bottom level. When I create the level and go to the view, I get a message that says "A Serious Error has occurred". However, when I create a level above the bottom level, I don't get an error. Any idea what settings may be causing this error? I created the level by choosing the bottom level, right clicking, and choosing "Create Similar". Thanks!JimBTW, this is Revit Architecture 2008

Not sure exactly whats going on with that. I can't reproduce the error on my machine so it's hard to know. Have you tried to make a new level above the bottom one and then change the elevation of it to below your ground level? Might be able to figure it out if you could upload your file. Dupe it and remove all the objects if you want.
