I really hadn't thought about it before but I was looking a the SmartBIM Library and they have a set of guidelines on how to name family files. Has anyone seen any other nameing guidelines?

It's not on thier web site it's in their software. I was test driving the program and found all of these guidelines that installed with the program.

Hey folks,

I am in the process of shifting to Revit and setting up my family library and would like to do it as properly as possible from the outset.

I stumbled on this thread but noticed that it is 9yrs old and some of the links are dead.

Does anyone have actve links to the naming convention information? Or can they recommend more contemporary resources that could better assist.

Thanks.
