I'm new to the Revit Software though I have been using AutoCAD/ADT/ACAD Architecture for nearly 20 years. I inserted a DWG file, re-traced the walls, got the appropriate height. Went to roof, by footprint, used the line option, traced with a 24" overhang, went to element props and changed the pitch to 12"/12", used the slope arrow command and brought to the two corners to the middle on both ends but it will not allow me to make the gable "Can't make footprint roof" is the error. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

You need to uncheck the define slope button on the end that you want gable. I hope this helps
