I am a bit of a newbie to Revit having just finished a 3 day introduction course.

I have come across the attached problem. My instructor on the course was also unable to help so I am turning to you helpful folks in hope that someone can help.

The problem occurs when trying to intoduce a recess in a wall, in this case a service void between communal lobby and an apartment. If the recess depth is less than the overall wall width the corners do not clean up properly as shown on the attachment.

Can anyone offer some words of wisdom on this?

 Thanks in advance

Hi, did you try to TRIM beetween those two walls? Did you use the "Join Geometry" and "Wall Cleanup"????

Thanks for the quick response Typhoon.

Yes I have tried trim, join geometry and wall clean up but no joy with any of these.

Revit doesnt handle those situations that good,

try using the disallow join in combination with the join geometrie options,

disallow join can be found when you rightclick on the little bleu dot on the wall end,

in the situation above i ended up adding the two middle walls in with a disallow join on there ends and cleaning it up with masking regions.

Hi again, try this, pick in the "Left" wall, pick in "Disallow join" and "stretch" that wall to the Left until they don't touch, then try with trim....
