Hello All

Our office just finished our three day training for beginers on Revit Architecture 2009.  And now we are trying to set up our office standards into custom families. What I have been trying to figure out is if you can change what compenents are visible in different detail levels.  Most of our projects are in 1/8" scale which acording to Revit should be course detail level. But the walls in the Course level give you overall wall with not components. This is fine if you are dealing with interior partitions. But what about a wall typ such as CMU with metal stud furing and gyp bd. Previously in ADT I would have three lines so one could easily see what walls were furred out and which ones were not. I do not want to go to the medium details because if you start throughing in the gyp layers everything gets really messy.  Is there any way to control what shows up on what detail level.

Thanks from a frustrated (ex)ADT user.

Look at the coarse fill pattern setting for your walls.

In the course fill patern settings you can only change the whole wall not a individual component such as the masonry. Unless I am missing something.

No - you are right.  The coarse fill pattern can be used to indicate a wall type.  If you actually want to see the components, you use the fine/medium settings.  The only other solution is to use two walls back to back - bad choice!
