I have just finished a second 24 hr render and I really need some help.  Revit will not save to project when I press that button, and will not export.  It shows me the full export dialogue but does not export anywhere.  When I close Revit, of course I lose the rendering.  I can see its temp file, however, when I copy it nothing will open it nor will I be able to keep it after revit has closed.

The render file is 70 Mb.

someone please help, I will keep revit open for a few days just in case someone can help me

zach

Why would you save this size file to project????  DON'T DO THAT!

You don't say so we can only assume you are on 2009 - is that true?

I suggest you experiment with a simple two wall file and learn the rules about how to save images before you waste more of your time.

Have you spent any time with the help file?  Read up on exporting images.

Yes I am using 2009.  The help file I found said I might not have sufficient memory to export the file.  I wasn't sure since I have 2 g of memory.

2g is probably not enough....

Your mistake may have been in trying to save it to your file first.   REVIT really grabs a lot of memory and as you open windows, the memory available continues to decrease.  Even when you close a wndow, not all of the memory is released.  We have learned to do things like this only from a clean startup into a small view widow of what we will be rendering after we have set up everything the way we want it ahead of time.
