Hi... m a newbie . joined just a few weeks ago. I have learned a lot till now , Thanks to revit city. now i have taken one excercise but just in the begining m stuck with the lighting. my problem is that the portion where sunlight falls is brighten and the rest is dull. m attaching both the images what i have done and original one i want to make. i have considered the room to be 20' X 20'. help with the camera setting also. thanks in advance

im not sure wxactly what your on about, but it may be to do with glass and daylight portals, have youused the daylight portals?

no i havnt used any daylight portals... i dont know how to use them.

Its fairly simple.. but it has cost upon render time.. If you are using 2009... The in your render dialog for the view at hand.. In the quality options scroll down and select edit. then in that page you will see scroll down to the bottom and select the daylight portals you wish to allow.. for more look in the revit help menu render in "custom/specific"

hi!!! m facin a problm wid d lightin part... wheneva i load exterior street lights i.e lamp posts n render it, it doesnt wrk.... i hav chekd d settings... d lights r turned on... hav tried changig d lumens n wattage value.. bt it doesnt wrk... plz hlp me regardin dis....

^^^What happens if you create a new 3dview and then render the scene? I've had the same problem before, thats how i solved it

Thnx mate bt i hav tried dat... is der any settings in light properties like changing its lumens, wattage.. cn u plz tell me wot is d appropriate value of watt n lumens of a street light to get d bst effect... n do i hav to attach a light in d lamp posts or so.. m confused.. hlp me mate... n moreovr d lights in d car also dnt wrk... wot cn i do in case f cars... plz hlp.. hav to make a presentation..
