Someone may benefit from my problem:  i had a repeated crashes with r2009.  here was the fix.  I had already downloaded the program and the patch, then the video driver, still constant crashes.  the following had to be done IN THIS ORDER.

Download upgraded video card driver from your video card company (nvidia in this case).  Configure as required.

re-download the r2009 program

download the 2009 service patch.    http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/item?siteID=123112&id=11017599

reboot of course.

Have you tried this with WU3? WU2 or just the first service pack (full install)?

Just curious. I have had similar issues with the external commands and having to reinstall them a few times to get them to work depending on the order that things were installed, etc; but not with the actual program.

Good luck

Nick

I don't know what  "wu2" is so I guess the answer is no.

Web update. Check the subscription site and download/ install the latest web update and that should take care of most of your issues.
