Is there a way to tell a spot elevation to offset the value it displays to the core of the system family.  For example I typically define the core of a floor as the structure, plywood or concrete that is below the finish material.  Because this is the information the builder needs to lay out the main structure of a building I would like that to be what displays in the elevation instead of the top of the finish material which is what the symbol seems to currently associate with.  Now I have to use dumb text in an annotation symbol that I have created and this seems very anit-revit.

I have toggled many of the settings in the image you attached and it really does not do what I am hoping...it just adds text in front or behind the elevation data that the tag is pulling from the finished floor.  My challenge is that I am working on custom residential projects where the finish floor material can change throughout the design/construction of a project at the clients desire, and can vary up to 1.5" in thickness so I do not want the finish floor to be what is identified by a spot elevation.  I really want it to adjust the origin of the spot elevation to the core of the floor system, the top of plywood subfloor or concrete slab whichever seems to be the case.
