My firm is working on a GSA project. Part of GSA standards is the appearance of Imperial and Metric dimensions. Presently, some poor intern is going to get to spend 6months manually adding the metric equivalent to existing dimensions. I am wondering if anyone could tell me how to create a dim-type that would simultaneously show both and thereby save the sanity of the yet unnamed intern. Much thanks.

You cannot have a dimension showing both imperial and metric dimensions simultaneously.
You can however have one dimension style to show imperial and another dimension style to show metric. Just simply duplicate the dimension style and override the project units in the dimension settings to the appropriate imperial or metric setting.
