I am trying to get the lighting in my building to work. I have an uplight along the floor but it is only casting a faint glow from one point. I checked the shape of the source and it is an elongated source. I also tried to bump up the wattage but I'm not sure that's how you edit the output. Why is it so dim? It's the uplight straight out of the library. Help.

Are you trying to render with sunlight? cuz for some reason revit tends to dim all lights when you have any sunlight involved.  If you dont have sunlight in then maybe try increasing your wattage and other settings to rediculously high numbers just to make sure the light is working properly...sometimes its just a matter of deleting it and then making it again....computers can be somewhat...strange.....at times...hope that helps!

I tried bumping up the wattage but it still seems to be emitting from one point. When I increase the wattage the point just gets brighter.

hmm...I'm not entirely sure then...usually when stuff like that happens and I can't find any explanation for it I just delete it and try again or find some other means of accomplishing the same thing...so maybe theres another light or series of lights that could accomplish the same lighting effect you want?
