Does anyone have any suggestions for creating a storefront "Properly" in Revit? So far, I have used the Glass component for the Door and standard windows. However, I am attempting to create a strorefront that the manufacturer, Kawneer, can price off of REVIT Documents. Thanks Smile Post edited on 2005-05-15 17:15:42

Have you tried using the curtain wall system?

Thanks. I hung in there last night and studied how to use that system. Smile The curtain wall system is easier in Revit 8. I was successfull in laying a curtain grid, panels, mullions and inserting a door. However, I am having a hard time resizing my panels to custom my entrance. I can chose to add or remove segments. Yet, I can not resize the curtain wall storefront double door to fit in the panel set. It's like eveything must remain equal. Therefore my glazing panels will not alter as well. Have you ever had this problem? Any suggestions? Thanks for responding earlier. Smile

It sounds like you have to check the rules for the storefront system, if you go under properties, and Edit, you will will see the parameters for fhe storefront system. It will tell you sizing for panels etc. You can make you changes under the window. Or if you highlight the grid system, you should get active blue dimensions that you can modify on the fly. HTH

Thanks! I was not sucessfull with changing the paremeters in the Elevation View. However, I realized my constraints was the door. Therefore, I started over by planning my door panel area and the other areas before inserting the door and mullions. Bottom-line, going straight to each parameter and building the overall panel system first, has worked. thanks again. Ciao Smile
