i realise that when i use the link option to import a drawing from acad to revit the explode options (both full and partial) explode are greyed out. is that normal? if so then how do i edit the drawings? thx

You edit a linked drawing in AutoCAD. If you want to edit it in Revit, you import the file (no link) and then explode it in Revit. Now you can edit it in Revit.
