This is a doozie. I made my topography and did a split surface for the roads, so I could render a different material. Now I want to merge one of the roads back into the main surface and split the surface elsewhere, because the road needs to move. It doesn't merge because at some stage I have accidently moved the main topo. This is a real bummer because I have a milllion pads so I don't have time to redraw the topo and pads. I really thought I had pinned the main topo, and it is pinned as I look at it so I've no idea how it moved. I tried moving the topo back by snapping to a road, but it won't pick up any snap points in plan or section. Can anyone offer a solution that doesn't involve redoing weeks of work?

Open two copies of the project. In one, delete one of the split portions then edit the remaining area. Copy / paste items from the other project including the now deleted split shape to same place as needed.
