RAC2009 I searched the forums for a while and couldn't find the answer to this one.

I am trying to organize my Sheet browser (not my drawing list) in a sequence other than alphabetical. I tried adding Shared Parameters to sort by, but in the Browser Organization dialogue box for sheets the only two options you can sort by are Sheet Number and Scale. Is there a way to add a Shared Parameter that you can then sort sheets by through Project Browser Organization?

Create a new Project Parameter under settings>project parameters (just a project parameter, not shared) and assign it to the Drawing Sheets catagory. Then create a new Browser Organization Scheme and group by this parameter.

This doesn't seem to be what I'm after, unless I'm missing something. If I use the Group By option under Browser Organization I end up with a bunch of subfolders under Sheets that are still sorted alphabetically. I'd like to simply dictate the order in which the sheets are organized using something other than Sheet Number or Scale.

You have missed it - try it out!

You don't "group" by that parameter - you sort by it.

When applicable, we sort by phases ...we sort by a special sort order parameter...

I'm still not sure how you accomplished this.

I've also gone in and set up parameters to sort the drawing list in the order we want (2 actually - one for the discipline and one for the sheets). I've used these to sort the browser and we get the sub-folders which we just deal with. When I go to set up a new browser the only thing I see under sort is Sheet Number and Scale (see attached).

I've added bot a shared paramter and

Unfortunately, as far as I know, you can't dictate the order in which sheets are sorted within groups; just the order that groups are sorted.
