Hello again,

In Revit 2008.  The gable and roof return are seperate roofs.  There are also two host sweeps/roof fasica applied to the roof.  Please see attached how can I get rid of the line.

 Thanks,

This should clean up by joining the two roofs using the "Join Geometry" tool.  I have done this in the past with success.  I typically join the roofs and then add the fascia as a single fascia.

I went through and deleted all the fascia, joined geometry, and put the fascia back on and still got the same result.  Is it possible I am doing something wrong?  Any other suggestions?

Thanks,

Raina Mc

Are the gable rake and fascia of the reurn in the same plane?  Send a 3D of that roof.  If indeed they are in the same plane, the only way to get rid of the line might be to use the linework tool.

Yes they are both in the same plane.  See attached.

Thanks,

FYI I have 2009....

I used the join geometry tool on the two fascias and it cleaned right up.

You'll also need to change the mitering option on the gable fascia piece that is grey to a horizontal cut.  Then left click on the horizontal fascia (grey) on the eave return and drag the blue grip to the corner of the roof.

Hope that was what you were looking for......
