I wish to export the model by levels to DWG

We have tired two methods which do not give us satisfactory results

  1.     Is make sure that all data on each level is in a workset then export the workset. This relies on the user working in the correct workset which they always fail to do.
  2. Is to create view templates and adjust the view scope from the elevations. The problem with this method is that you get the bottom facet from the floors / walls / columns etc above (see image)

 Can any one help ?

Unfortunatly I believe those are the only 2 methods. We need the same type of exports for our coordination process and using either worksets or sections boxes are the only ways we have found to export by level and/or area. To get rid of the facets from levels above we will set the box lines slightly above and below the level lines, this creates a slight gap in the model when stacked backed together but it does not effect our coodination process. We have submitted a request to Autodesk to make the sections box lines able to be snapped to level or grid lines and they have accepted it as a possible feature to look into.
