I'm using Revit Architecture 2009 and I can start the program just fine. Problem comes when I go to the "File" menu and choose "open"... Revit just hangs and I have to ctrl-alt-delete to get out of it. No dialog box pops up at all. If I double click on my file in Windows Explorer it opens just fine though... Anyone else had this issue?

We dont have 64 bit machines...I have updated to the latest build though.... still checking for a virus, but when I opened Revit Architecture 2008 the File Open option worked fine. I figured it was a bug with RAC 2009. Currently re-installing the program (for the second time)....

Problem solved. We use dual screens and my display properties were screwed up. Once I edited them, my dialog box (which was there all along, just lost somewhere in space) showed up fine. Thanks for your suggestions anyway

Thanks for posting your solution, I was just having the same exact problem, very frustrating. I'm in the field today, so don't have my additional screen. I went to control panel and changed the screen resolution and voila, there was the open dialog box. Goofy.
