Hi, I am trying to create a custom ceiling grid. We are using a pattern of 2'x4', 2'x4', 1'x4'. I know that I could create separate ceilings for the two types but it is for a large spanse and throughout a large building. Do I need a program to create a .pat file or is there another way? And what program creates .pat files? CAD? Thank you

You'll need to write your own pat. file (or find someone that has what you're lookin for). Revit help has a somewhat helpful description of how to write one: Help - "Creating a Custom Pattern". There are also a couple good threads on RC that you can read through. Good luck - they're a bit confusing at first....
