I have inserted Dimension Text under string of dimensions.  When I go in to edit the witness line to pick up a missed dimension, all of the text is omitted when I add a new witness line.  I could understand that it would reset the dimension text in that bay but why omit all of it?  I then have to go back and add all of the dimension text and then find another dimension witness line that needs to be added.  It is a huge pain.  Anyone know a way around this problem other than don't do dimension text until you know there are no more witness line changes.

It may be because when you edit the witness line it wants to put the new dimension you added in the old text fashion and since the text you created was on the old one it offsets because every text on the witness line needs to be the same because its considered a family when its all connected.  Maybe try adding to the witness line and make sure the new piece you add has all the same settings as the old when you add it.  Hope this helps!
