Hi, I'm trying to create a balcony railing with intermediate posts every 5' and balusters every 4". What I end up with is the intermediate posts every 5' and ONE baluster offset 4" from the posts each time. So it's post, baluster, big empty space, repeat. What am I doing wrong ? : ) Many thanks, JF

You need to define the entire pattern from post to post. So, if you want to have a pattern that repeats every five feet with a post and then ballusters at 4" o.c. between the posts, make a pattern that is something like this (Post - distance from last = 6", 3/4" square balluster - distance from previous - 6", 3/4" square balluster - distance from previous - 4", 3/4" square balluster - distance from previous - 4".......keep on adding ballusters in until the field for Pattern Length is 5'-0".

Also on long runs you can just add a "Split" in the sketch line. At the split it will use the Newel defined for Corner post.

Split the line...... duhhhhh. Thank you thank you thank you. That's what i needed. And I'm guessing I'd use the "define the entire pattern" option if I had different panels within the same railing. Thank you both. JF
