i haven't been using program revit 09 for many months, in file started last year, i created 18 detail views, today i seem to only be able create callout views; what have i forgotten...revit "help" doesn't anyone can provide refresher would be greatly appreciated

In your help did you just look for view? "Detail views" is about the 12th item listed and when you open that, the method of creating detail views is very clearly explained.
