We're a historic preservation architect firm.  We have a project where we'll soon be doing a conditions assessment of 700 wood windows on a historic building.  We'll need to create repair schedules for these windows.  In the past, we done the data collection with palm pilots, exporting the data to a database file.  We need someone to help us import this data into Revit family parameters.

Any suggestions for companies that can help us with this?

 San Francisco Bay Area preferred.

I might be able to help. What kind of data are you tracking? is it just height and width or other information.

We'll be generating 20 to 30 fields for each window noting the materials and condition of all the parts and what repairs are needed.  Ultimately, we'll produce drawing sheets, each showing an elevation of the building and a schedule for the windows on that elevation.

We could produce the window schedules from the survay database outside Revit and merely import the schedule as an image file, but wanted to also explore if was possble to import the data into Revit family parameters and then have Revit deal with generatin the schedules.

To complicate matters, the building model is being created by another firm.  So we were thinking that we'll need to add our conditions parameters to a window tag, which we would create and place, rather than to the window family itself, which was created by the other firm.

If most of the parameters are just text notes we can set up a way to add the data to the windows. If you do it this way you can place the exact window with the exact field information quite nicely. All I would need is the Data. I would design the window and a way to extract the data into the window. If you want just send an e-mail. You can find all my information in my profile.
