Can someone tell me why the flooring hatch pattern is one way here and then the other.

I cant rotate one pattern without affecting the other, since its the same hatch pattern being applied. It seems like it automatically places the orientation of the pattern based on the room..

Please check out the screen shot.

Hi, and the floor are 2 slabs (floors)? if yes, pick in the "issue" slab, go to properties - edit/new duplicate the material (other name) then you can change it...

For non-rendered views, you need to assign a material pattern to the floor that is a model hatch - not drafting.  If it is a model hatch, you can rotate it to any angle.  You do not need to create another slab type to do this.  (NOTE:  This is not true for rendered patterns.  Those have to be unique for each slab if you want them rotated since the rotation occurs in the bitmap.)

The other issue is that each floor has to be created in a single sketch.  If two independent rectangles are created in one sketch, the hatch pattern will be a single pattern and when rotated in one sketch will actually rotate in both.
