To get the detail from the building wall section callouts I have to do a "duplicate with detailing", crop down to the wall, and change the scale.  Then I have to manually put in the callout bubble and manual number on the building section.  Is there no way to get a callout that duplicates the detailing?

I really like to place the building sections arrows on the plan and then do the wall sections as callouts on the same page as the building section.  I could just put the wall sections arrows on the plan too but that just clutters up the plans.  One of the great advantages of Revit is being able to have unlimited building sections to 'splain your building.  Being able to pull all of the detail off of the section, explode it, and add more info on the same sheet just makes too much sense.

Your question confuses me....  It sounds like you are doing a whole lot of work that you don't need to do.  Have you looked at reference other view?

To do what you want, instead of duplicating the view and cropping it, you want to make a callout of the enlarged area.  On the design bar, pick the view tab and select Callout.  In the options bar, go to the pull-down on the left and pick the proper view type (Section, detail, etc).  Set the scale you want the enlarged view to be.  A new view will be made.  If you have detail items that you made in the building section that you want to show up in the enlarged section, select them and copy to clipboard, then go to the enlarged view and select, Paste Aligned>Same Place, from the edit menu.  This may sound like a lot of work, but it is the proper procedure and will keep your referencing live and properly coordinated.
