A coworker has recieved the following error which results in his file being un openable, and he has to re-create his local file from the central every time. What is causing this? He didnt actually move any file locations that we are aware of.

Your co-worker is opening the central file everytime if he is getting this message. Make sure he is actually doing a save as to make his local and that he is actually opening the local. We use the terms central and local in our appropriate file names.

He called me over last time it happened, and he was indeed in his local file. -We use xb for our central file xe for our electrical file and xm for my mechanical file. I did check to see if he had accidently detached himself from central or anything similar. He has been having computer issues which resulted in me and our tech guy having to re-install windows/revit last week. -The computer wouldnt boot, and got stuck in some kind of blue screen cycle. I asked the tech to do another scan tonight, but wanted to check for user errors first. We are both working in a local file of this central, and I am doing fine with no errors. We both use 64 bit windows, but I have a better graphics card (which shouldnt matter for this problem) I have both set to not use open gl even though mine has the option. It seems to work better that way. I apreciate your help....

new information: He opened my condensing unit family to edit the electrical connector, and after he edited it, the file was no-longer saveable. I had to delete it, and go to one of my backups and rename it, then re-load it into the project. Im really perplexed!!!!!!
