I have a existing house with 6" metal siding,  for new construction we are going to replace the siding to 2 3/4" wood, there any way I can phase existing walls to show the 6" as existing and 2 3/4" for the propose. We have History review presentation and we have to show existing and new. thank you for any help

I believe the simplest way is would be to create two walls, one being the 6" wall with sheathing (I assume the sheathing is going to remain).  Then create another wall that encompasses the siding.  You then need to draw the two walls adjacent to each other, and then demolish the one with the siding and add your new, third wall on the new phase.

I would make the existing wall with the existing siding that is under the Vinyl. Add the New Wall Just vinyl. (3/4". The trick is that you have to use the Join Geometry tool to get the windows to cut through the 3/4" wall. When you demolish the vinyl wall you should see the existing siding.
