I edited the Room Tag family and created a smaller font size to use on my smaller scaled plans - but when I go to a different view on a larger scale I want the Room Tags to be the standard larger size - how do I 'unlink' them so each plan can have their own size Room Tag?? Thanks!

All you need to do is select all the room tags on the plan you want to change them on, then select the new room tag. There is no unlinking of any kind required. You can use as many tags as you want. All sizes and shapes. I usually have severl Room Tags. One for Presentation, one for Construction. One that shows Area, one that shows Floor Finish.

Room tags are view specific elements (with the exception of dependant views or detail groups).  As such changing them in one view will not change the ones in the other view.

But...they do change on diffrent views!! I created an overall plan and I put normal tags on the rooms...then I "duplicated with details" and made a new view.  I cropped it down to show only the rooms I needed & scaled it up.  I then decided that the original overall plan needs smaller tags....so I created a new tag size & changed all the tags.  Now, when I go back to the larger scale duplicate plan, all the tags are small (& if i change them back to the larger size they are then large again on the overall plan) - I dont know what I did wrong!! Thanks!!

PS - I did come up with a 'cheat' - I copied all the name tags and then pasted them ontop of eachother & changed one set to the 'large' size and one set to the 'small size' & then hid the size in the view that I didnt need....this just seemed like alot of work for something so simple! :o)

You need to set up 2 room tags. It sounds like you did that. When you "changed" the one on the view did you use "select all instances"? If so you selected all the room tags in the whole drawing. Not just the ones on the view you were in. When you did that you changed all the room tags. The other possibility is that you redefined the room tag for the whole project.
