few more questions to add to the list... 1. i imported a dwg file from autocad.. it has a part thats hatched and shows up as filled region in revit. my problem is the filled region apppears on every floor plan and is visible in every view. i know it doesnt happen with my other filled regions. wats wrong? 2. im trying to connect a beam at an angle but it just doesnt seem to wprk.. its as if the beam has constraints and wont cennect to the column completely.. help asap wld be appreciated... thanx

1) When you import your dwg file there is an option in the import dialog box to bring in your file in the current view only check that box and your dwg file won't appear in all other views. 2) That is the intended behavior for structural members to allow for connections in version 7 and lower but in version 8 this has been corrected for concrete structures. The work around for rc structure in earlier version is to change the category of the family to wood category.
