I am using a linked architectural file for the first time. When I use the copy/monitor command and start copying structural columns, etc. from the linked file, it will only let me copy certain objects such as floors and columns. The architect has already put a great deal of structural elemnts into the model including roof beams and joists, but when I try to copy them into our model, it won't even let me select them. The roof is rather uncoventional, so re-modeling the enitre thing would be pretty inconvienient and time-consuming. Is there a reason these elements can't be copied into our strucural model? I am having the same problems trying to bring the walls in, as well. Any help is appreciated
