Working in Revit 2009, power goes out to the bldg while working. Computer re-starts and I open Revit 2009 and click on the file I was working on. A warning message comes up saying that there is another person using that file and any changes I make will not be saved. My computer is the only one that has Revit on it and we do not share files with anyone yet in Revit. I can be the only one using the file.

Since I have it backed up on a flash drive I try to delete the file I was working on. I am not allowed to do this either because the computer thinks it is being used. At this point I have closed Revit and I am still not able to delete the file.

It is early here and I plan on calling our IT guy but does anyone here know a fix?

Was this a workset file?  Should not have been if you were the only one.

Just open and do a save as giving it a new name.

Not a workset and I'll try your suggestion. Thanks
