I am using Revit 2009.  One file will not load and seam to crash when updating linked acad files.  I have loaded the back up and local copies of the file and the same crash happens.  Is there any way to unlink the acad files prior to launching the file.  The error report to Autodesk has not come back with a solution.

Thanks as always.

I went to the backup tapes and uploaded a file that was a week old.  Took a chance and did "Reload latest"  I worked.  I unloaded all the linked files so it should be fine.

Somebody from AutoCadd owes me a beer at AutoCadd University.

Hello RevitCity croud. Our Office incountered the same issue that REVIT 2009 crashed when booting and "updating references" We tried many different solutions to no avail, but in a last ditch effort we opened the problem file in Revit 2008 and exported back to Acad then Referenced back into Revit 2009, and it was a success. I hope this solution helps anyone.

one thing we have done here...and we are workig in R8-we export via IFC and import that way...seems to work for all cad applications, having several to deal with...it comes across in Revit being clean...you might want to give that a shot

I really want this to work...some good things some bad
