How would I go about making a simple double pitched roof? ie: 4/12 pitch for the first 6' then to an 8/12 pitch to the ridge.

oh yeah, how do you join them, with glue? I have a metal roof that is 25° and then 15° over a verandah all the way around. Can revit do this with the section showing a proper join so I dont have to draft it up properly in section. Might as well use AutoCAD or ArchiCAD!

The software is not the culprit. The software has the tools. Single Roof in Revit in less than 5 minutes:
