I'm trying to create a double door family so that i have the option to make the widths of the door leafs varible or symetrical.

So the user either enters the overall width of the door, then the width of one leaf to make them uneven  or clicks a symetrical tick box parameter so the only specify the overall width of the door.

So I want to say that if the tick box is ticked, then the door width will be 50% of the overall width.

Can't seem to design a formula that will do this for me!  Help.

Why have the check box?  Just enter leaf 1 and leaf 2= overall-leaf 1.

You need to run three parameters here. (All in Family Types)

First one is the "Leaf 1 Width" length type.  Make this the variable size.

Second one is a Yes/No parameter called "Even Leaf"

The third parameter is where the money is.  So call it "Money Leaf Width" or whatever you like.  Its a length type also.  Add this formula into it...

If(Even Leaf, Width /2, Leaf 1 Width)

You can now assign "Money Leaf Width" to the door leaf.

Now when you check the "Even Leaf" it will make it half the width.  If you don't check the "Even Leaf" it will become the the Leaf 1 Width.

To make the otherside work make "Leaf 2 Width = If(Even Leaf, Width/2, Width - Leaf 1 Width).

Good Luck!
