Hi,
I have worked with the revit file in workset since the file need to be access from several workstation.
At the same time other office at the other location (not lan connected) will be working on the same file. How can i keep the file always up to date?
At the moment we have to transfer the xxmb central file from 1 to the other location and we could not keep working on the file at the same time. This is time consuming. Could somebody help me with this problem? can revit be xrefing?
thanks and regards,
ghiaid

Due to internet speeds not currently up to scratch this isn't really that feasible to work real time.
We also have another office in another city to which we share work.
Our method typically is to have the central file located at one office, then if we want someone to do work on the file from another office, we create a local file in there name and check out all the worksets they'll require then send the file.
When they've finished they send the file back and we then save it to the central file and relenquish there worksets.
It works providing noone tries to take control of worksets at risk.

HTH.@Mr Spot thanks for the quick reply.
Our offices are in different country..We need to work continuously on the central file, while other office sometimes need to update their file in the same day for coordination or client issue. Problem is that those info needs to be incorporate with our central file in our country. i.e we are now doing the RDS while our foreign office has to update some floorplan layouts. how could we possible update our central file with theirs?

Hmm its not really sounding possible if you want that quick of a turn around in the file. How big a file are we talking about?
There would need to be good communication between offices... BTW, select chat at the who's online section, might make it a bit easier to discuss.
