Hi all, I have been working with Revit Structure 2009 for a few months now and just completed my first model. It went fairly smooth and I found RevitCity and here I am. Hope to learn a few things here and hopefully help others in the near future!

Proud to be a NEWBIE! lol

Hi All..

I am having trouble rendering my walkthrough that i have created in revit. Its seems like its taking for ever. for more than 35 hours... it doesnt seems like its moving at all. Does any one know how to render a walkthrough faster??

Thanks,

Pooja

Get a more powerful PC / Video processor? It really depends on the model, lighting, shadows, number of frames, 'resolution' and PC. If you are trying to render a 60 second walkthrough be prepared to wait. A single frame can take 20 minutes to render on a good PC and a rendered walkthrough is just a ton of individual rendered images played back. Work at getting a single rendered view 'speeded up' before you attempt to render a walkthrough. If you cannot better the rendering time on a single view then producing a rendered walk through will be no different.
Unfortunately I do not have any specific video optimization advise for rendering other than 'resolution' and 'size' of the rendered output makes things take longer. Keep the 'size' of the output down and the resolution down for faster processing. Just the way it goes.
Perhaps someone else has rendering 'speed' tip?
