Hi, Can someone please explain why, in RA2008 you are able to work and edit objects assigned to worksets while not having checked that particular workset out? Is there a way to override this so that objects cannot be manipulated unless you have taken ownership of the objects assigned workset? Thank you,

Some people have been wishing for lockable worksets but we don't have them. One way to fake lock them would be to change your user name to xxx, open the central file, make the items editable that you want to own(lock) then close without saving to central. Change your name back to who you are and open your local. When you want to change them, you would have to reverse the process. A real pain but it should work. Don't think you'll like it unless you have some staff really messing you up.
