I'm having issues with importing a site plan into revit. I did have the site in the plan but it wasnt linked. I want to insert the site so that if i make changes in cad the revit model changes. When i insert the cad dwg into revit and click the linked box the model imports of but it is really small not to scale. when i change the import units nothing happens. so i scale the very little picture and make it a big picture. then i need to place it in the right spot and rotate it so that its square, the thing is that the bloody thing wont let me select a line/corner on the import. It is snapping to stupid points that it is saying is a line but there is no visible line there. Therefore i cant place it where i need it. then when i zoom out or in the location of the site changes! Any ideas?

Check the plane you inserted the dwg into... Also if feasible flatten the dwg for this purpose to avoid the snapping problem. It's also easier if you import at the correct scale to begin with rather than trying to change afterwards. HTH.

I have now imported it in and lined it up, but when i make changes to the dwg in cad i cant put the changes into revit without reloadind the dwg and lining it up again. I imported it a linked file. is there an easy way to update the dwg?

Other than reload link in the manage links section i don't believe so... If you keep having to make changes to it, have you considered exploding and just doing the changes within revit? we tend not to link dwg's here, unless they're consultant drawings...
