Just finished the Revit Essentials Class... Love the program but everything I learned doesn't quite fit into what I'll use it for.  We only touched site layout for about 10 minutes out of the 24 hours in the class... I will get more training but for now I'll ask around and try and see what I can learn on my own.

Basically I work for a Airport Developer. Everything we build has to fit under these imaginary surfaces for obious reasons.  What I'd like to do is build these imaginary surfaces in Revit so i can build my hangars and office builds then place them "hopefully" under this imaginary surface.  Here's a pdf I found online that can explain it a little better:

OK my question is how do I build a surface... I'd like to be able to see through this surface like this image shows:

I was trying to use a roof command although it would a huge roof :-)  What would you use to create this "imaginary surface in Revit???

I'm using Revit Architecture 2009 and like I said just finished the class on 9/10/2008

Thanks for any help at all!

looks like you could use a simple mass extrusion w/ a transparent material applied.

Check out the Revit Masing Tools
